This is a process that parents can go through to come to an out-of-court child custody agreement. You'll both get a chance to voice your opinions and talk through any concerns that you have. Since the mediator is neutral, you can get an unbiased opinion as you work through the agreement.

Before you arrive, it's a good idea to spend some time doing research and outlining your own proposal. You need to figure out what ideas you have in place well before the mediation session. You can also prepare by showing up to your mediation session with an open mind. You should be willing to listen to your ex-partner and hear what they have to say, too.
